Once the fabric is printed, the craftsman scatters some fine sawdust onto the wet dye to prevent smudging off the design. The printed fabric is sun-dried for a significant amount of time so that the colours look brighter and lively. The process of designing and creating a wooden block can take 9 to 12 days, depending on the complexity of the design.
